Kim has worked with children diagnosed with an ASD and their families since 1998. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Major Psychology) in 1999. In 2007, she completed a Certificate in Infant Development and Supported Child Development from the University of British Columbia. She has a Master of Education in Special Education with a Focus on Inclusion from the University of Michigan. She regularly attends conferences and workshops related to autism. She is on The Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP).
